Hi, my name is Ian Griffith, a graduate of the Moody Bible Institute (Associate of Biblical Studies) (2018), student at the Institute of Lutheran Theology (an accredited College & Lutheran Seminary (LCMC / NALC / LCMS) since the Fall of 2018. Graduating with a 3.9x GPA in December 2022 with the ILT Pastoral Certification accreditation. Currently working on my Bachelors/Masters (MDiv) at ILT/Christ College.
While older in years, I am younger in Christ.
The good news is The Gospel of Jesus Christ. That while you (& I) were (& still are) sinners. God in His mercy gave of Himself to repair the relationship that we broke through our repeated Sinning. This gift is for you (& for me) & for all who believe that Jesus died for our Sins.
That He rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures. Scripture which speak of God & His redemptive plan for all of Creation.
That in your Baptism you were raised to new life (born again) & given the gift of eternal life through the Death & Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
That we are the first-fruits of His Resurrection.
That this may seem to be foolishness to the World; but we are not ashamed to bow our heads, bend our knees, & confess Jesus as Lord.
In His Death (Christ's), you were made alive, that this is most certainly true.
That He (Christ) will come again, to create the new Heaven & the new Earth, that this is most certainly true.
That we Confess not only our Sins; but also confess, believe, & hold to the unaltered Augsburg Confession (uAC/UAC).
Trained & certified Stephen Minister & Stephen Leader serving our congregation’s members & those in our community.
Former unbeliever who was called to belief & the ministry; sadly familiar with sitting in a pew unmoved & doubting. Experienced Deacon, Elder/Council Member, Temp. Pastor, Stephen Minister, & a Stephen Leader.
Zion Ev. Lutheran Church (La Moiile, IL - LCMC) is our home, blessed to be serving a Congregation in a Pastoral capacity, being Called in May of 2022 US. Serving with my passion for God’s Word & a heart for all of God’s people. And a heart for those who reject God.
My aim in ministry, as a student & teacher of the Bible, is to shepherd a Congregation as a servant leader.
This would be a blessing to me & to my family.
Passionate and unashamed of the Gospel of Christ. A forgiven sinner looking to share God's grace and love.
A self-starter who works well within the frameworks of teams, encouraging opportunities which allow others to grow and shine in their ministry goals.
Unafraid to go it alone when resources are scarce, trusting that God will eventually bless and provide, when and if, it be His will.
Whether it be in Bible study, and/or, ministry related groups. Reaching out in multiple formats - making repeated efforts and being intentional in sharing God's Word.
